About The Position

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what ‘above and beyond’ customer service means. This position is part time and would be varied hours. It is for odd jobs around the store, garbage's, cleaning restrooms, pushing carts, etc. Would be independent work, can be physical of lifting or pushing and would be around 25-30 hours a week

Requirements

Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
Great listening and communication skills.
Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting while handling product or using various equipment.
Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work in areas such as the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot.
Work with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
May perform other duties as assigned or required.
