About The Position

Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm and friendly individuals to join their team as Courtesy Clerks. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals with an eye for detail who enjoy interacting with people and are willing to grow within the organization. No prior experience is required as on-the-job training will be provided. The Courtesy Clerk will be responsible for bagging groceries, assisting customers with loading their vehicles, returning merchandise to shelves, gathering shopping carts, cleaning spills and trash, and understanding the store's layout to assist with product location and price checks. Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safety are paramount in this role.

Requirements

Must be able to regularly lift about 20 to 30 lbs.
Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
Reaching/ Bending: Up to 8 hours per day.
Must be reliable and display positive attitude.
Able to work in an environment that can at times be very fast paced.
Able to multi-task while observing high standards of safety and quality.
If under 18 years of age, must furnish a work permit.

Responsibilities

Bag groceries at check out without damaging contents or items for customers.
Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable/plastic/paper).
Help customers with loading bags into their car.
Return merchandise to store shelves.
Gather shopping carts and baskets and return them to designated areas.
Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
Understand the store's layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and company policies.
Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers at all times, and reports safety-related accidents and incidents to management immediately.
