About The Position

As a Front End Support Associate, your primary responsibility is keeping shopping carts available and the front of the store and surrounding areas clean and organized. This is an active, hands-on position that involves spending a significant amount of time outdoors in all types of weather and environmental conditions. You’ll also support our cashiers by bagging groceries and occasionally help customers take purchases to their vehicles.

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older.
Someone who enjoys active, physical work and is comfortable spending significant time outdoors.
A reliable work ethic and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed.
Friendly and helpful customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
Ability to recognize when an issue should be referred to a supervisor or other team member.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and cart corrals throughout your shift, keeping carts organized, clean, and readily available for customers.
Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and smoky conditions caused by seasonal wildfires.
Pick up trash and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming storefront, parking area, cart areas, and store entrance.
Help keep the front of the store clean and organized, including customer eating areas and restrooms.
Support cashiers by bagging groceries and interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with carrying or taking purchases to their vehicles when requested.
Wipe surfaces, sweep, and restock napkin, utensil, and other customer-use stations as needed.
Provide additional Front End support as assigned based on store needs.
