About The Position

Courtesy Clerks provide professional customer service while bagging groceries and providing carryout. They help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe store by performing general cleaning, stocking bags and bulk containers, returning merchandise, and operating equipment according to PCC standards. The role is based at PCC’s Ballard location in Seattle, Washington.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting 10–40 pounds.
Current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent, professional customer service.
Bag groceries and provide carryout according to PCC bagging guidelines.
Sweep and mop the sales floor, clean bathrooms, take out trash, clean the meat department, and clean shelves.
Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the store.
Stock bags in the check stands and bulk containers.
Return merchandise from the check stand to the sales shelf and verify item pricing.
Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
Operate all equipment in accordance with PCC standards.
