About The Position

As a Courtesy Clerk at Broulim’s, you will provide excellent customer service and help maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will assist customers with bagging groceries, taking groceries to their cars, retrieving shopping carts, locating products, and answering questions about store services. You will also help keep the store clean and safe, assist with stocking and replenishing inventory, follow company policies and procedures, and perform other duties assigned by your department manager. The position is listed as a closing shift.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push or pull heavy carts.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist others.
• Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Basic knowledge of grocery store layout and product locations.
• Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.
• Understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers courteously and helpfully.
• Attention to detail when bagging groceries and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and offer assistance.
• Bag groceries carefully and efficiently.
• Take customers’ groceries to their cars.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to the store.
• Help customers locate products and answer questions about store services.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, emptying trash bins, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Help maintain store order and safety, including monitoring for spills and hazards.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to customer service and safety.
• Perform other duties assigned by the department manager.
