We also promote a healthy work-life balance. The Department of Facilities has an immediate need for a COURT SECURITY COORDINATOR. This position is based in Franklin County. The Court Security Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating court security programs.

Requirements

Associates Degree Or 60 Hour Equivalent from An Accredited University or Technical School
20 years of related experience must include fulltime experience with KSP as a sworn law enforcement officer
Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO) Certification Required. SLEO Must Be Obtained Within 6 Months and Maintained Throughout Employment.
CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications Required Within 6 Months and Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment.

Responsibilities

Train local law enforcement personnel on court security issues.
Provide security during high profile cases.
Perform routine security duties within courthouse.
Conduct presentations and educational training in group settings.
Conduct security assessments for court facilities and potential court facilities statewide.
Act as liaison between court of justice officials and local law enforcement.
Provide special security details for court of justice and other judicial functions such as colleges and training.
Interpret laws, policies and procedures for program(s) to program implementation staff and program recipients on a statewide basis.
Request and collect program data, edit, analyze data, and write comprehensive program status reports for executive and managerial supervisors.
Performs in depth analysis of program support needs and recommends policy and procedural modifications.
Respond to programmatic inquiries from the general public, governmental officials, or other jurisdictions.
Communicate procedural or program changes to program staff, contractors, recipients, and other interested parties.
Attend professional meetings, civic meetings, or other meetings to gather or distribute program or technical information.
Other duties as assigned.
