About The Position

Responsible for screening individuals coming into the Lubbock County Courthouse through the use of monitors and scanning devices. Will handle related issues by working with Deputy Sheriff Personnel assigned to the Courthouse.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, rules, regulations, and laws
• Ability to safely handle other security devices
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with judges, other law enforcement officers, attorneys, jurors, and the general public
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Observing monitors in the control room that monitors the movement of inmates to and from the jail, movement of all individuals in the courthouse
• Operates magnetometers and x-ray machines located at all entrances to the courthouse
• Answer phones, operate and monitor portable radio
• Operate computer
• Log movements of deputies transporting inmates and log courtrooms which are secured
• Other duties as may be assigned
