Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position.
  • OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience communicating in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • As the subject matter expert for criminal set asides (expungements), you will review, accept, and process criminal set aside paperwork, seal cases as directed, and send notifications to parties and agencies as required by court order and statewide business processes.
  • You will also handle complex partial set aside motions.
  • Additionally, you will start traffic cases that are filed with the court, schedule appearances, process documents, track cases, and accept pleas.
  • You will set up payment plans with customers at the front window or over the phone.
  • You will prepare violation judgments and enter sentences and fines into our case management system.
  • You will also ensure that information is reported to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • You will help judges, court staff, attorneys, litigants, agencies, and the public by answering questions about criminal set asides and traffic cases. The customer service you provide will be in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Part of your time will be spent processing the mail and providing backup coverage for the Verification unit.
  • Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
