This position assists with all aspects of staff supervision, including interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations, while planning, organizing, and assigning work and providing technical guidance to employees. The role involves training and orienting new staff, interpreting criminal traffic and minor offense rules, statutes, and municipal ordinances, and responding to inquiries and complaints from the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and government agencies. The position supports case managers, chambers judicial assistants, and magistrate judges within the Third Judicial District by assisting with criminal, traffic, and minor offense procedures, problem-solving, and rule interpretation. Additional responsibilities include performing subordinate staff duties as needed, providing in-court support and backup for traffic hearings, and assuming full supervisory responsibilities in the supervisor's absence.
