About The Position

The Tenth Judicial District, which includes eight counties in the Northern Suburbs of the Twin Cities Metro Area, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Court Operations Associate to join the Anoka County Court Administration team in Anoka, MN. This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional service to court customers, judges, attorneys, and court staff by supporting a variety of case types, including civil, criminal, family, juvenile, and traffic. This position offers a hands-on, live courtroom experience with meaningful responsibilities. We are seeking individuals with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. As a Court Operations Associate, you will work both independently and collaboratively, using sound judgment and available resources to complete a wide range of administrative and courtroom tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, with the ability to learn other job-related software
  • Certificate or degree in a related field
  • Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management
  • Experience with electronic document applications, workflow queues and web-based video and audio platforms

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs administrative and case processing work across one or more case types, including criminal, juvenile, traffic, probate, jury, conciliation, civil, and/or family. Utilizes court technology systems such as the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), Microsoft Office, electronic File and Serve (eFS), SharePoint, and other related platforms.
  • Provides in-person courtroom support by collaborating with judges, court reporters, and justice partners. Responsibilities include calling cases, capturing minutes, processing exhibits, and managing courtroom documents.
  • Assists attorneys, self-represented litigants, judges, and the public by responding to inquiries in person, over the phone, by mail, and electronically in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedules and maintains court calendars for an assigned judge, including coordinating hearing dates with parties, sending required notices, and processing routine orders.
  • Performs a variety of advanced clerical and case processing tasks in compliance with court rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepares, scans, indexes, and maintains legal documents and case records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and proper data entry.
  • Supports case flow management by monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely progression of cases.
  • May serve as an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO), including setting up, testing, and monitoring digital recording equipment during court proceedings.
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion when handling sensitive case information.
  • Participates actively in team meetings, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities to maintain current knowledge of court processes and best practices.
