Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Family law experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person assistance to internal and external customers (including attorneys and self-represented litigants) by accepting or rejecting filings and answering questions.
  • Review and enter orders and judgments into the Odyssey system by following statewide and local business processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
  • Accept or reject File & Serve documents in accordance with the Oregon Judicial Department’s (OJD) Standards.
  • Use the eFile system to communicate detailed information to assist in correcting any rejected documents for resubmission.
  • Monitor and track reports and pending cases to take appropriate action pursuant to statute and ensure cases are completed within set guidelines.
  • Prepare documents and attend Protection Order court.
  • Serve as a procedural resource and provide information to judge as requested.
  • Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
