About The Position

The Court Liaison serves as the key point of contact between Family & Children’s Services and the court system assigned. This role involves coordinating and advocating for clients involved in both behavioral health services and the criminal justice system. The Court Liaison works closely with court personnel, treatment teams, and clients to ensure seamless communication and the delivery of individualized care. The Court Liaison will have a primary focus on the following: Attend court, document billable hours, and follow up with appropriate team members with client updates. Help clients submit court reports for new pleas in residential treatment, AWOL, and in custody. Support any clients including attending drug court and mental health court graduation. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners and court systems to ensure program viability. Coordinate care for clients that are court ordered to a higher level of care and/or residential substance use treatment. Monitor court report submission and assist with completing and submitting court reports. May be required to work evening hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

Requirements

  • Experience in the field of mental health, criminal justice, or community based social services required.
  • ODMHSAS Case Manager II Certification, completed within 60 days of eligibility.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record to use agency and/or personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office and/or for the transportation of clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in any field + 6 months experience in a behavioral health field required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Science field required
  • Must be a high school graduate or have a HS equivalent + 36 months experience in behavioral health field OR 60 hours college credit in any field + 12 months of behavioral health experience required.
