About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our team in El Dorado, AR. This is a Full-Time, 2nd Shift position. The work schedule is Monday – 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and this shift qualifies for 2nd shift differential pay. The role involves loading necessary supplies for daily pickups, completing the daily pickup schedule efficiently, and delivering all daily picks to the branch at the end of the shift. The Courier will handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently, operate a company vehicle safely while obeying all traffic laws, and utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups. They will also work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed and evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient computer and typing skills
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Strong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Be at least 21 years old

Nice To Haves

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience
  • 1 year or more of experience as a driver/courier
  • 1 years or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
  • 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment
  • 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

Responsibilities
