About The Position
Under the direction of the Health Record Supervisor, this role is responsible for the distribution of mail to and from clinics, securing bank deposits, proper handling of the postage machine, transporting Patient Health Information (PHI), and performing various other courier functions. The position serves as a focal point for projecting a professional and positive image to all UMC patients, clients, and visitors regarding United Medical Centers' services. The role also involves performing health record functions as required and providing customer service. The Courier is responsible for compliance with various regulations and standards impacting United Medical Centers, including State/Federal regulations, HIPAA, HITECH, ACO, PCMH, OC3, HRSA, Meaningful Use, DSHS Standards, QI/QA, and ADA Requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum High School or Equivalent.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to follow instructions.

- At least one year experience as a courier.
