About The Position

The Courier position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to client and customer service, including the delivery of lab reports, correspondence, lab specimens, hazardous waste, and supplies. The role also involves running errands, making bank and postal runs, and delivering mail within the corporation. The courier acts as a customer relations representative, relaying client concerns to supervisory personnel and maintaining a courteous demeanor at all times. This role is a key part of the CICSS team, contributing to excellent service delivery and upholding the organization's commitment to CARES (compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service).

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License upon hire.
  • Must obtain Massachusetts specific Driver’s License within 60 days of hire.
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) criteria will be obtained as a precondition to begin employment.
  • Successfully complete CLAB’S Driver Safety Training Program at least once every two years.

  • Organize and deliver lab reports, correspondence and supplies to CICSS clients and within CCHC Laboratories.
  • Transport laboratory specimens from client offices, satellites of CICSS and the hospitals to appropriate destinations.
  • Acts as customer relations person on behalf of CICSS in the clients offices, relaying concerns from the clients to appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Transport hazardous waste from client offices and CICSS sites to the point of pick up at CCHC Laboratories for transfer to incineration site.
  • Run business errands as necessary, hardware store, office supply store, bank deposits, postal runs, etc.
  • Works in tandem as a member of the CICSS team to deliver excellent services.
  • Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects CLAB’S commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.
