About The Position

The Courier’s role is to pick up documents, mail, packages, boxes, and other items and deliver to businesses and residences throughout Sacramento County and surrounding areas. They will also be required to file documents at the County Courthouses, make copies of records, and complete limited process serving requests.

Requirements

  • Must use own vehicle (Access to a truck, van, or large SUV is a plus)
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record (2 points or less)
  • Valid Auto Insurance – checked quarterly
  • Must pass background check
  • Courier or driving experience required
  • Ability to be professional and helpful to all clients
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Drive in a courteous manner and follow all traffic laws
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong working relationship with clients
  • Inform Supervisor of any problems
  • Deliver documents to our clients and other facilities as directed by dispatch.
