About The Position

The Courier is responsible for transporting water samples and related materials to and from various collection sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery to the laboratory for testing. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to maintaining the integrity of the samples during transportation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
Reading maps and following directions
Operating a motor vehicle
Ability to prioritize
Effective communication with supervisors, laboratory staff and clients

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a courier or delivery role is preferred, particularly in a scientific, medical or laboratory setting.
Computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

Transport water samples from designated collection points to the lab.
Ensure all samples are collected and delivered according to the lab's schedules and protocols.
Ensure proper handling, packaging and labeling of samples to prevent contamination or damage.
Follow safety and regulatory guidelines to maintain sample integrity.
Maintain a timely delivery schedule to ensure that water samples arrive at the laboratory within the required time frame for testing.
Provide regular updates to the lab and logistics team regarding pick-up and delivery status.
Report any issues or delays immediately.
Ensure the courier vehicle is clean, maintained and in good working condition.
Report any vehicle issues to the Logistics Manager.
