About The Position

Home Delivery Courier will ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications and medical supplies to various locations, including pharmacies, clinics, and residential homes. Monument Health offers competitive wages and benefits on qualifying positions.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
Driver's License - State
Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.
Medium work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-66% of the time), and or up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds seldomly to move objects.
Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
Have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Detail-oriented to keep track of deliveries.
Customer service and communication skills with customers/patients/caregivers/pharmacy team members.
Be comfortable using a smartphone, apps, and other delivery technology.

Responsibilities

Pick up and load vehicles with prescriptions/medical supplies, both cold chain and room temperature, at Monument Health Pharmacies.
Return all necessary totes, coolers, medications, and paperwork to the Pharmacies at the end of the shift.
Deliver prescriptions promptly, efficiently, accurately, safely, and in a courteous manner to intended recipients, both to patients and other clinics.
Possess a solid knowledge of the area/region you'll be delivering to, up to 150-mile radius of Rapid City, SD.
Maintains the security and integrity of medication and supplies throughout delivery process.
Performs data collection as required, maintaining accurate delivery logs and other relevant records.
Perform daily inspections of the delivery vehicle for any maintenance needs to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Reports any mechanical issues with the delivery vehicle to supervisor.
Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed when driving the delivery vehicle.
Participate in all required safety training.
Obey all traffic laws and be comfortable with driving in different weather conditions.
