About The Position

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to join our team. This role involves the timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining company vehicles. The position requires adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations, documentation of operations, and assistance with training and communication among couriers. Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial for operational continuity and supporting our team and patients. Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to drive in inclement weather
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
  • Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle.
  • Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
  • Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.
  • Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.
