Courier/Driver (1st shift) - Eurofins Environment Testing - Lancaster, PA
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This role involves documenting, packaging, and transporting samples in accordance with project-specific plans, ensuring quality control, and adhering to health and safety policies. The position requires long-distance driving, potentially up to 250-300 miles per day, with 1-5 stops per route. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with basic hours from 8 am to 5 pm, but may require flexibility for extended hours up to 6 pm-8 pm on occasion due to routes and traffic.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid state issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
- Must be able to use Smartphone.
- Must be willing and able to drive long distances (4+ hours)
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Ability to follow GPS directions
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Responsibilities
- Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
- Responsible for quality control of all assignments and completing documents
- Following and enforcing company health and safety policies.
- Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance.
- May assist with data collection and routine sampling, as needed
- Long distance driving
- Drive as far as North New Jersey, Pittsburg, etc., and a maximum of 250-300 miles per day, round trip
- Route could consist of anywhere from 1-5 stops
- May be asked to drive to other locations as needed based on business needs
- Additional duties as assigned
