About The Position
Bring your passion to Texas Health So We Are Better + Together. This role involves operating company vehicles safely to transport items, following all transportation and lab policies pertaining to medical specimens and protected patient information, and handling specimens properly and safely. The Courier Driver will drive routes effectively to minimize downtime, display good time management skills, report vehicle maintenance needs, maintain company vehicles, and create and maintain good customer service-oriented relationships with clinic personnel.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- No experience required.
- DL - Driver's License valid Texas License Upon Hire is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous driving experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely (obeying all applicable traffic laws and maintaining a clean driving record) while transporting items.
- Follow all transportation and lab policies pertaining to medical specimens and protected patient information.
- Handle specimens properly and safely.
- Use "Sorry we missed you" tags when needed.
- Drive the route effectively to minimize down time and display good time management skills.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs to management.
- Maintain company vehicle -- keep it clean and a sanitary workspace at all times.
- Create and maintain a good customer service-oriented relationship with clinic personnel.
