Requirements
- Illinois license required (active or actively in pursuit): LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, AMFT, PsyD, or PhD
- Master’s degree required (MEd, MSW, or MA)
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience counseling couples
Nice To Haves
- Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago, or AAMFT certification
- Comfortable sitting with conflict
- Skilled at helping couples slow down and actually hear each other
- Understands that the relationship itself is your client
- Brings a framework to your work and the flexibility to meet each couple where they are
Responsibilities
- Provide couples and individual therapy sessions
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and formulate DSM-5 diagnoses
- Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with intake, leadership, and care coordination teams
- Contribute to couples specialty outreach and marketing initiatives
- Attend monthly CEU events and engage in ongoing professional development
