About The Position

Fulton County Child Welfare is hiring a County Social Services Aide 1 to support children and families who rely on essential services. The role assists child welfare staff with direct services to youth and families and completes daily office tasks that help the agency operate. It combines community service, communication, and hands-on assistance.

The position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework is not available.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license that is not under suspension.
• Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Be able to perform the essential job functions.
• A conditional offer requires drug screening.
• A conditional offer requires satisfactory criminal history clearances, including Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities

• Schedule clients’ medical, dental, and other appointments and arrange transportation.
• Drive clients to foster homes, court hearings, activities, and other required destinations.
• Help families with home tasks, meal planning, budgeting, and everyday living needs.
• Supervise children during office visits and support crisis situations in the home.
• Handle mail, filing, data entry, phone coverage, and document preparation for case files.
• Provide basic information to clients and community members about available agency services.
