About The Position

As a County Caseworker 2 with Fulton County Children and Youth, you guide families toward safer and healthier futures. This role allows you to support important decisions that help children remain safe and connected to stable homes. You use your growing skills and training to help families meet their needs and stay on track. This position offers a meaningful career that strengthens both families and the community. This position focuses on guiding families as they work to meet the health, safety, and well-being needs of their children.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

  • Coordinate placement options that promote secure and timely permanence
  • Conduct assessments to determine the safety and well-being of children
  • Team with community programs to assist families in addressing concerns
  • Track family progress and adjust services to support ongoing improvement
