About The Position

Delorie Countertops & Doors, Inc. is a family-owned South Florida company that has been building custom countertops since 1999. We're looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our shop and learn a skilled trade. This position offers full-time, year-round employment with a Monday-Friday schedule and opportunities for overtime. We provide paid on-the-job training and the chance to learn a valuable skilled trade with opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• Dependable and shows up on time

• Comfortable working with their hands
• Interested in learning a skilled trade
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
• Comfortable using basic hand or power tools, or willing to learn
• Able to read a tape measure, or willing to learn
• Able to safely lift up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, construction, cabinet making, remodeling, manufacturing, or working with tools
• Experience using tools
• Enjoy building or making things
• Countertop experience

Responsibilities

• Fabricating laminate, postform laminate, butcher block, and THINSCAPE countertops
• Measuring and cutting materials
• Laminating and assembling countertops
• Using routers, saws, woodworking machinery, and hand tools
• Reading shop drawings and work orders
• Inspecting finished products for quality
• Keeping the shop clean, safe, and organized
• Working with our team to complete projects on schedule
