About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Counterintelligence Analyst to join their team in Chantilly, VA. This role supports Government activities by analyzing information and intelligence relevant to national security threats. The analyst will interview individuals regarding foreign contact and travel, create intelligence products for the counterintelligence community, and present awareness and defensive briefings. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide subject matter expertise and analytical support to satellite-related programs, integrating CI analysis to assess threats to systems, technology, acquisitions, operations, personnel, and supply chain risk management. The role involves applying analytic, counterintelligence, and technical knowledge to assess intelligence reporting, all-source intelligence analysis, and unstructured data from DoD and IC sources. Production in areas such as FIS operations, foreign denial and deception, computer network operations, counterespionage, technology protection, investigations support, operations security, and terrorism is expected. The analyst will also handle requirements and collection management, analyze data assessment strategies, and develop briefings and analyses. Collaboration with stakeholders and development of standard operating procedures are also key responsibilities. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.

Requirements

  • 8 + years of related experience
  • Skills: Information Collection, Intelligence Analysis, Researching
  • TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph is required at time of hire.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain the Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or the equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the intelligence and/or CI communities (or equivalent years of work experience in lieu of no degree).
  • Proven ability to conduct research, analysis, and produce finished intelligence on a variety of topics.
  • Production in one or more of the following areas: FIS operations, foreign denial and deception, computer network operations, counterespionage and economic/industrial espionage, technology protection and illicit technology transfer, investigations support, operations security, and terrorism.
  • Experience/familiarity in one or more of the following disciplines: HUMINT, IMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, or denial and deception.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and methodologies such as link analysis, timelines, casual-loop analysis, and risk management.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to travel worldwide.
  • Interpretation and understanding of Intelligence Community policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Understanding of U.S. intelligence satellite systems.
  • Long-range program and budget expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • A technical background (e.g., electrical or aerospace engineering) is also desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information and intelligence relevant to threats facing the nation's systems, infrastructure, and resources.
  • Interview individuals to collect information pertinent to foreign contact and foreign travel.
  • Create intelligence products to be shared throughout the counterintelligence community.
  • Present awareness and defensive briefings to highlight threats facing the community.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support to satellite-related programs, including acquisition, launch, and space and ground operations.
  • Utilize resources to integrate CI analysis and concepts to produce comprehensive assessments about potential CI threats.
  • Assess intelligence reporting, all-source intelligence analysis, and unstructured data received from a range of DoD and IC sources.
  • Perform research and correlate all-source intelligence products pertaining to foreign capabilities, development, and trends in the use of space and counterspace systems.
  • Engage in production in one or more of the following areas: FIS operations, foreign denial and deception, computer network operations, counterespionage and economic/industrial espionage, technology protection and illicit technology transfer, investigations support, operations security, and terrorism.
  • Analyze information and intelligence and develop research studies and recommendations pertaining to potential CI threats.
  • Handle requirements and collection management, as well as the analysis and evaluation of data assessment strategies.
  • Research, develop, and prepare briefings and analyses which may include narrative, tabular and graphic materials.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to promote information sharing and collaboration.
  • Develop and disseminate standard operating procedures, validation criteria for personnel, entities, components, and communities of Interest.
  • Mine data for unknown linkages in existing information or to maintain integrated database tracking systems for controlled correspondence.
