About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst to support the DIA Office of Counterintelligence in Washington, D.C. The role involves conducting analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. The analyst will provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements, offering guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies. This position requires monitoring and analyzing strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for specified regions, assessing future and ongoing political-military developments, military capabilities, doctrine, weapons acquisitions, and employment of military forces. The analyst will also research, author, and coordinate threat assessments, connect information from various sources to form reports on anti-terrorism and national security, assess the believability of information, collect it, and validate intelligence. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance and be able to obtain a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4-8 years of job-related experience or equivalent with at least a portion of relevant experience within the last 2 years.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
  • Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organization, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs; mastery of Department of Defense policies, procedures and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
  • Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.
  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.
  • Monitors and analyzes all strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for the countries in the Areas of Operational Responsibility and Ares of Interest.
  • Assesses future and on-going political-military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, weapons acquisitions, and employment of military forces within each country (including the U.S.).
  • Researches, authors, and coordinates threat assessments to support the Commander and other senior leadership as well.
  • Connects pieces of information that is available from different sources like field agents and form reliable reports on anti-terrorism and national security to deal with potential threats.
  • Assesses the believability of the information from the reliable sources, collects it, and validates intelligence.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
