About The Position

Job Summary: The Cashier/Counter Server is primarily responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, and serving guests at Dockside Casual Seafood Counter at Portside Pier. This position is also responsible for cleanliness and safety of the Ketch Grill and Taps areas of the Portside Pier Property. Compensation & Benefits: $17.25 per hour plus tips Paid Sick Leave Flexible schedule Discounts on meals Career advancement opportunities Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver an amazing guest experience with fast and friendly service when taking orders and processing payments. Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, with the ability to answer questions and make suggestions. Serves guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner. Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Keep designated service stations clean and organized. Restock and replenish supplies. Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems. Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return. Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift. Requirements

  • Friendly, energetic, detail-oriented team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment!
  • Restaurant experience is a plus but not required. We offer on-the-job training.
  • A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work positively and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire bar area and service wells.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and wipe for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry trays and supplies (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Food Handler Certification.
  • RBS Certification.
