About The Position

This role involves providing exceptional customer service at the counter and over the phone, responding to inquiries, and processing orders. The position requires sourcing materials, developing customer relationships, handling returns, maintaining a clean sales area, and merchandising products. Additionally, the role includes contacting current customers to identify new product opportunities and up-selling, maintaining product knowledge, providing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction with all aspects of the order and service. Collaboration with team members is essential to meet customer needs. Other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Minimum grade 12 education required
  • Minimum of two years customer service experience

  • Knowledge of the Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical industry and/or industry products an asset but not required

Responsibilities

  • Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
  • Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders in the system
  • Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
  • Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Handling returns as required
  • Keeping counter and sales area clean
  • Merchandising and showcasing product
  • Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
  • Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
  • Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
  • Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
  • Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met
