We offer an exciting opportunity to start a long term career! We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable Counter Sales Associate to join our team in our Auburn location! Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and employees in a friendly and professional manner both on the telephone and in person
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 – 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing.(up to 8 hours per day.)
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of plumbing products and supplies helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate by phone and in person with wholesale customers to assist them in their plumbing purchases.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Maintain neat, clean and professional appearance.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed; including coding, costing and pricing.
  • Ensure all administrative, accounting and credit related procedures are strictly observed.
  • Communicate with branch manager and purchasing any product shortages or outages.
  • Safely unload and check-in delivered product and stock shelves.
  • Help load company trucks with product as necessary.
  • Pull customer will call orders from Warehouse shelves as necessary.
  • Help to maintain a neat and clean warehouse by performing general housekeeping duties as required.
  • Exercise safety at all times.
  • Work with all department staff to ensure all deadlines are met and workloads are equitable.
  • Perform duties of backup driver when necessary (if qualified).
  • Various other projects as assigned by management
