About The Position

Plumbers Supply Co is seeking a Counter Sales Lead for their Louisville, KY location. This role involves leading a team to provide excellent customer service and technical expertise to professionals. The Counter Sales Lead will oversee daily operations of the counter and will-call areas, aiming to shape a high-performing sales team and ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year in a progressive sales or warehouse leadership position is preferred.
Required experience with plumbing/HVAC product applications and features.
Proficiency with Prophet 21 (P21), RF Scanners, and multi-line phone systems (Zultys).
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead huddles and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours a day and routinely lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally 75+ lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

Establish clear expectations for Sales Associates, holding the team accountable for excellence in every walk-in and will-call interaction.
Assist customers with complex quotes, orders, and RMAs via phone, email, and in-person, utilizing the Prophet 21 (P21) system.
Manage the physical organization of product displays and the will-call area to ensure a professional, efficient customer experience.
Oversee the accurate processing of cash, check, and credit transactions while managing tool rental procedures.
Ensure all team activities align with company policies and legal safety standards to maintain a secure working environment.
