About The Position

Under close supervision, the Counter Sales Representative provides quality customer service and support at a key location in the retail and service business segment. The role supports location sales by assisting local customers, helping identify and assemble products, troubleshooting customer problems, and offering solutions. The representative works closely with the Solutions Center Manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business, supports location maintenance and safety, and maintains key customer relationships. Customer service and value-added support are focal points of every interaction. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Typically, a high school diploma or GED and zero to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
Positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and take a hands-on approach.
Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Comfort working in a consultative transaction atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations.
Basic mechanical or technical inclination.
Basic industrial sales experience.
Basic hydraulic knowledge.

Responsibilities

Support location sales by providing first-class customer service to the local market.
Assist customers face-to-face using familiarity with and knowledge of products.
Troubleshoot customer problems and provide creative solutions.
Identify and build customer assemblies.
Ensure knowledge of how to use all equipment.
Work closely with the Solutions Center Manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business.
Assist the team with overall maintenance of the location.
Help ensure safety guidelines are followed.
Maintain key customer relationships.
Make customer service and value-added support a focal point of every interaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
