The Counter Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining product knowledge, marketing new products, assisting customers during the sales/purchase process, and responding to inquiries professionally. This role also involves assisting with warehouse functions as needed. Shift: Monday – Friday 7 AM– 5 PM

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized and work within a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software, while maintaining professional sales demeanor.
Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and placing follow-up calls.
Maintain and develop customer relationships.
Actively stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock requests.
Arrange and organize point of sale displays and shelves to ensure products are visually appealing.
Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and replenish merchandise.
Ensure all pricing, labels and promotional signage are accurate and visible.
Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe and clean environment.
Assist with warehouse functions as needed on a daily basis.
