About The Position
Join State Electric Supply Co. as a Counter Representative in Clarksburg, WV. Our Counter Representatives play an important role in keeping our customers and branches moving. You’ll help customers find the right products, solve problems, process orders, prepare quotations, and build the relationships that keep them coming back. It’s a fast-paced, customer-focused role where product knowledge, service, and sales all come together. Build relationships with customers every day while helping them find the products and solutions they need. Develop valuable product and industry knowledge that can support long-term growth in sales and distribution. Grow your sales skills through order entry, quotations, product recommendations, and day-to-day customer support. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately process orders, transactions, and customer information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused mindset and willingness to help solve problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Interest in learning products and building knowledge of the electrical distribution industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through friendly, dependable service.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of State Electric products, services, and industry trends.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare quotations and provide product information to help customers make purchasing decisions.
- Respond to customer requests by phone, email, and in person as needed.
- Operate the cash register and handle point-of-sale transactions when applicable.
- Provide exceptional customer service and help resolve questions or concerns.
- Work closely with branch teammates to support customers and keep daily operations running smoothly.
