About The Position

Green Mountain Electric Supply is seeking a Full-Time Counter Sales Manager for its rapidly expanding Electrical Supplies business at the Rochester, NY branch. This role is suitable for individuals beginning their career or seeking a new opportunity with growth potential. The schedule is Monday - Friday during business operating hours.

Requirements

  • Previous experience and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting sales.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Directs product research and development and presents to the inventory team as needed.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Regularly supervises day to day operation of at least two or more employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
