About The Position

The Counter Sales Lead has proven to be a critical component to the sales team as customers expect faster, seamless service. The primary function will be to ensure customer needs are anticipated and met with the highest level of satisfaction. This requires acting as a liaison with customers and other departments within the company to track new orders, delays, and address current customer needs.

Requirements

  • GED, High School Diploma OR At least 3 - 4 years of customer service experience or an undergraduate degree.
  • Proven peer-leadership capabilities and excellence in industrial or wholesale customer service.
  • Must be a technical product expert, with specific knowledge of door/gate automation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with established professional credibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, solve problems under pressure, and de-escalate difficult client situations.
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise ERP software.
  • Able to work in a Team environment and acceptance to constructive communication.
  • Able to follow instructions and supervision
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Demonstrated job stability
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift or move items ranging from up to 50 pounds.
  • Significant walking, standing, and climbing
  • Occasional crouching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, or bending to access client sites or handle equipment.
  • Frequently utilization of fine finger dexterity for digital systems and equipment inspections.
  • High level of verbal communication (talking/hearing) and clear close/distance vision for driving and presentations.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments, including warehouses, or outside. Varied Temperature changes, minimal chemical hazards, Vibration, dust and vehicle noise.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point-of-person for the daily counter workflow and assist team members with complex transactions.
  • Coordinate and process vendor returns directly with the Purchasing department
  • Monitors overcommit statuses.
  • Audit prepull and online orders to ensure timely pickup.
  • Leverage advanced product knowledge to resolve customer issues, mechanical questions, and electrical system inquiries.
  • Support the manager by training counters sales staff in returns, queue management, special order policies, warranty, advance replacement, memo bill procedures and ERP account updates.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and technical issues directly at the counter with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Aid the manager in adjusting daily shift coverage, setting up training windows, and assigning meeting slots.
  • Performs opening and closing store duties, securing the warehouse queue, processing manifests and staging carrier shipments.
  • Travel or provide temporary coverage to alternate branch counters with operational needs arise.
