About The Position

The Counter Sales Associate provides an exceptional customer experience and contributes directly to day-to-day store operations and sales goals. The role works with the Store Manager and local team to manage inventory, maintain the store’s appearance, record received and shipped products, and prepare items for shipment. The associate may perform as Store Manager when needed, including scheduling, ordering, and carrying out opening and closing procedures.

This is a salaried non-exempt role, so employees receive overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a week, or as otherwise required by state law. The starting salary range is $46,000–$59,850 annually, depending on factors such as geography or market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees are also eligible for a bonus under the applicable company plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service through product expertise and selling skills.
• Contribute to sales goals and day-to-day store operations.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager and local team to manage inventory.
• Maintain the appearance of the store.
• Record received and shipped products and prepare items for shipment.
• Successfully complete assigned training within the given timeframe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform as Store Manager when needed, including scheduling, ordering, and carrying out opening and closing procedures.
