About The Position

DSG is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in their Plymouth, MN location. This is a full-time, hourly position, with work typically performed between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7am to 4pm on Fridays, though hours may vary according to business needs. As a Counter Sales Associate, the individual will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment, and also assist with warehouse duties as needed. Requirements

Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of electrical products
Excellent relationship building skills
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email)
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task
A knack for active listening to determine customer needs
Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
A high proficiency with computers
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively

Nice To Haves

Experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
Perform other duties as assigned
