About The Position

The inside sales/counter sales representative works closely with customers (by phone, fax, or email) and responds to inquiries about quotes, orders, lead times, etc. This role collaborates with other internal and external departments (such as Outside Sales, Manufacturing, Vendors, and Shipping) to handle purchase orders and provide customer service. The representative provides great customer service, is up to speed on product knowledge, and keeps clients informed. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years’ customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional customer service and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Able to safely lift upwards of 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Sell Plumbing and HVAC products to assigned and potential customers
  • Answer all Plumbing and HVAC requests and provide product quotation and technical support
  • Create tender project quotes, review specs, get prices, keep quote logs, and following up with vendors/customers
  • Preparing, submittals, receiving approvals, purchasing non-stocks, and overseeing order progression of equipment
  • Collaborate with the profit centre team to close sales and to provide excellent customer service
  • Provide direct sales service and product line information to our customers (in person, or by telephone/e-mail), and ensure customer’s needs are satisfied
  • Process sales, including entering orders, pulling product out of inventory, and scheduling delivery or helping buyers load orders.
  • Evaluate customer’s needs and upsell product where appropriate to maximize sales
  • Other related branch duties to support business needs
