About The Position

The Counter Attendant provides excellent guest service experience by preparing and presenting food and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffee drinks, according to North Fork Mono Casino & Resort standards. Key duties involve processing high-volume cash transactions with a high degree of accuracy using the POS system and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is essential for creating a welcoming and efficient store environment. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Concessions Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with Guests and creating a positive experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to remain calm and efficient during busy periods of operations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to adhere to all company and department policies and procedures and Guest Service standards.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in food and beverage within a hospitality environment – i.e. restaurant, bar, hotel or casino in a Guest facing role required.
  • Current Food Handler certification required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino’s culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Craft a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and refreshers, adhering to recipes and standards.
  • Follow recipes precisely and maintain quality standards in beverage preparation.
  • Prepare (if applicable) and package “grab-n-go” food items.
  • Greet Guests, take orders, and provide friendly and efficient service aiming to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Handle POS (point of sale) operations, process transactions accurately, and manage payments.
  • Work collaboratively with other Team Members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products and recipes and provide information to our Guest about beverages and food items.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
