About The Position
This position is responsible for operating machinery and maintaining production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for conducting cycle counts and audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and assisting the Inventory Manager in any related functions. Team members will spend up to 80% of time in warehouse utilizing a hydraulic crane (cherry picker) and/or forklift to perform visual inventory function. The remaining time is utilizing computer systems for research.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
- Ability to recognize and read location codes, date codes and product codes.
- Candidate must have history of good attendance at time of application.
- Candidate must currently be certified on hydraulic lift (cherry picker) or be willing to be certified on cherry picker immediately as well as forklift.
- Candidate must be willing to perform tasks in cherry picker and in racking with cherry picker elevated to highest level of racking.
- Candidate must have history of good quality.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Must be able to stand 10-12 hours per day minimum.
- Must be able to reach, push, pull or lift minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must have completed the 90-day probationary period.
- This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
- Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments
- Participate in physical inventories as necessary.
- Provide floor support to operation supervisors and hourly Team Members regarding inventory issues.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety.
- Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands.
- Operate machinery including hydraulic lift (cherry picker), forklift, and other warehouse related equipment.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.
