Count Team Member
About The Position
Under general supervision, responsible for the collection and counting of currency and chips derived from gaming devices. This role involves maintaining the protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail. The Count Team Member will assist in slot and table games drop by collecting currency and chips derived from gaming devices in accordance with established procedures. They will conduct a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the table drop boxes to determine, by table, the amount of the drop and the win, as well as the contents of the bill validator boxes. Ensuring procedures and proper controls are followed to protect counted receipts is crucial. The role requires maintaining awareness of changes and/or problems which may affect the security of the currency in the Count Room and reporting observances to the Count Room Supervisor. The Count Team Member will count and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count, transfer corresponding documentation to the Revenue Audit Department on a daily basis, and prepare funds, with proper documentation, for transfer to the Main Bank. This includes conducting all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, counting of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license
- Demonstrated ability to accurately account for large amounts of cash
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Responsibilities
