About The Position

Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Count Team Attendant. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values.

Requirements

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times
  • High school diploma
  • Excellent math skills are required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and closed in quarters
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous large cash volume handling experience is an asset
  • Previous Bookkeeping or Accounting knowledge is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy to stay within strict variance guidelines
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company, the department and AGCO
  • Ensure the policy of confidentiality within the company is adhered to at all times
  • Safeguard Casino Assets
  • Count and report the daily drop to the accounting department
  • Follow all pre-established routes for the drop
  • Prepare the drop for buy
  • Responsible for all cash, plaques, forms, documents and files in the soft/hard count room
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and neatly according to standards
  • Balance all records at the end of shift
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
  • To ensure that all gaming revenues are correctly accounted for and internal control procedures have been followed
  • Perform other duties in the count room as required by the Count Team Leader/Cage Manager
