About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for participating and leading the activities of the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency counting derived from the VLT games, as well as ensuring compliance with Gaming regulations. This role involves interviewing, hiring, and training Countroom staff, maintaining the protection of large amounts of currency, and adhering to Ohio Lottery Commission (OLC) rules and regulations. The supervisor must effectively communicate with various departments, schedule personnel, ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and transfer receipts and documentation daily. The role also requires independent problem-solving, operating within the department budget, and providing encouragement and training to team members.

Requirements

Minimum of three years’ cashiering or banking experience, or related experience.
Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
Ability to identify different denominations of currency and quickly count and stock currency.
Ability to bend, squat, reach and twist so as to be able to retrieve full and empty coin boxes.
Ability to push/pull the drop cart, with assistance, which can weigh up to 2000 pounds.
Ability to remain standing for majority of shift and make way around the Count Room in an efficient manner.
Ability to diagnose common equipment and computer issues.

Knowledge of operation of Cummins currency counting equipment.
Knowledge of 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

Participating and leading the activities of the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency counting derived from VLT games.
Ensuring compliance with Gaming regulations and Ohio Lottery Commission (OLC) rules and regulations.
Interviewing, hiring, and effectively training Countroom staff.
Maintaining protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail.
Effectively communicating with multiple areas across the property including the Cage & Players Club, Revenue Audit, Security, Gaming, Surveillance and Compliance.
Scheduling Count Room personnel to correspond with the OLC approved drop schedule and business demands.
Ensuring compliance both on the gaming floor and in the Countroom to ensure that team members are following the departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Transferring receipts to the Players Club and the corresponding documentation to the Accounting Department daily.
Independently problem-solving as issues arise while simultaneously communicating issues to Surveillance, Finance and Security when needed.
Operating within the department budget.
Providing encouragement to team members by communicating property/team goals, identifying areas for new training and conducting team meetings to update team members on continued expectations.
Performing related duties and responsibilities as required.
