About The Position

The Count Room Lead oversees the day-to-day operations of the count room and provides leadership and guidance to all assigned personnel, while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and operating count equipment. This role involves assuring customer service standards are exceeded, delegating daily job assignments, supervising the preparation and accuracy of slot drop and count paperwork, and recommending training for count room representatives. The Lead ensures key control procedures are followed, maintains compliance with casino control commission regulations and company policies, and ensures efficient collection and counting of cash boxes and drop boxes. They provide feedback, coaching, and development guidance, and are responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring the work of team members. Additionally, the Lead counts, wraps, and records slot drop and table game drop box contents, verifies quantities, and maintains the general upkeep of the count room, ensuring equipment is in working order and meets safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 1 year experience working in a financial element preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations
  • Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
  • Must be able to follow and understand directions
  • Communicate appropriately with all departments and fellow team members
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Walk, stand, repetitive use of hands, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with the public in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assures customer service standards are always exceeded and all count room personnel are committed to excellence in the performance of their assigned duties
  • Delegates daily job assignments to Count Room employees
  • Supervises the preparation and ensures the accuracy of slot drop and count paperwork
  • Recommends training as necessary for Count Room representatives in both customer service and technical areas
  • Ensures key control procedures are always adhered to
  • Maintains compliance with the casino control commission regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Assures each count team and drop pick-up team is appropriately staffed and the drop is collected and counted in the most efficient manner or the cash box and drop box pick-up and count is conducted in the most efficient manner.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and development guidance as needed; and provides recommendations and feedback to the Count Manager
  • Responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring the work of the team members in assigned area(s)
  • Counts, wraps and records slot drop according to procedure.
  • Sorts, counts and records contents of table game drop boxes according to procedure
  • Verifies quantity against records
  • Responsible for general upkeep of count room
  • Ensures that count room equipment is in working order and meets safety standards and arranges for maintenance when needed
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
