About The Position

The Count Room Attendant accurately processes and counts cash, chips, and tickets from Table Games, Slots, Sportsbook, TRM, ATM, and JDU machines. The role ensures revenue is dropped and counted in compliance with NJDGE standards and company Internal Controls, while maintaining confidentiality and documenting counts and discrepancies. The position involves working in a fast-paced casino environment and varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a cash-handling position.
• High school diploma or GED required; a related degree is a plus or equivalent work experience is accepted.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and move throughout casino and hotel areas.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push a wheeled cart on carpet and tile from a dead stop, carrying up to 300 pounds.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Remove bill validator drop boxes from slot machines and replace them with empty boxes.
• Load dropped bill validator boxes onto a cart and transport them to the count room.
• Trace and match Table Games fills and credit slips to the Preliminary Master Gaming Report and document discrepancies.
• Operate approved counting equipment and upload end-of-day totals for Audit.
• Empty Table Game drop boxes, Sportsbook, TRM, ATM, and JDU cassettes, and slot bill validators individually and in numerical order.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure revenue from Table Games, Slots, Sportsbook, TRM, ATM, and JDU machines is dropped and counted in compliance with NJDGE standards and company Internal Controls.
• Document all counts and fulfill regulatory, company, and NJDGE requirements.
