We are seeking a Count Attendant to join our team. The role is physically demanding (standing for long periods, repetitive counting, bending/reaching, and lifting/moving boxes, carts, and equipment) and requires sustained focus and professionalism. Verification steps are mandatory. Scheduled start time is approximately 4:30 AM , with flexibility based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must meet Transfer & Promotion Policy requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire Lottery Commission license.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, managers, and vendors.
  • Ability to answer inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Ability to access, interpret, and understand information on computer systems.
  • Ability to work in environments with loud noise, guest chatter, overhead music, live entertainment, and where smoking is permitted.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Requires hand–eye coordination and the ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and numbers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a high–volume, fast–paced Money Room or similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct soft count procedures accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Assist with the Drop process, including the secure collection and transport of cash drop boxes and voucher cassettes.
  • Verify and balance funds, ensuring all collections are properly documented and reconciled.
  • Transfer funds securely to designated safe areas as needed.
  • Oversee and properly utilize trolleys, carts, and other equipment used in the collection and counting process.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or irregularities immediately to the Count Team Supervisor and/or Cage management.
  • Maintain accountabilities for all keys and secure assets issued during the shift.
  • Ensure all count procedures are completed following internal controls, regulatory requirements, and documented protocols.
  • Communicate discrepancies, procedural issues, or major technical concerns promptly.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Money Room equipment and operational procedures.
  • Communicate operational information clearly with Count Team Supervisors, coworkers, and management.
