About The Position

BCCS is Seeking a Full-time Counselor for our First Stop DUI Program! Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking Counselor to provide a supportive, person-centered counseling services to individuals in a compassionate way.

Requirements

Minimum of an associate degree with CADC, or bachelor's degree
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field
1 year experience in the Substance Abuse Field and/or Mental Health
Within 2 years, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices.
Knowledge of population being served and available resources.
Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of clients.
May require crisis intervention to emergency situations.
Skill in establishing rapport with clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality and competent care to all BCCS clients, to include but not limited to individual, family and group counseling.
Complete all scheduled intakes & assessments and make appropriate recommendation for either education or outpatient treatment.
Create a treatment plan based on client’s assessment.
Document all clinical services and interventions performed within the clients ‘electronic record.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Facilitate groups using identified curriculum.
Confer with the Clinical Supervisor on a daily basis for casing.
Ensure that the DUI tracking system is updated within identified timeline with client status.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
