About The Position

Established in 1909, George Junior Republic and its affiliates provide opportunities for success and wellness to the individuals, families, and communities served. Established in 1992, Preventative Aftercare is committed to keeping families together by providing quality home based services to at-risk children, youth, adolescents and their families in their homes, schools and communities. We are looking for Intensive in-home Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals. George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being. This distinct, mobile position will provide intensive services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation. Services will be provided within the community, schools and homes. Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families. Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for this position.

Requirements

  • Mental Health Worker: Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Mental Health Worker: A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Mental Health Professional: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Must live in/near the county
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation
  • Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearances
  • Able to work a non-traditional schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Professional licensure preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
