About The Position

Adhere to OASAS' regulatory operation standards of a Medically Supervised Inpatient Withdrawal and Stabilization program 816, Inpatient Rehabilitation Program 818 or 822 outpatient program dependent on assignment for both at the state and federal levels. Assist with the maintenance of policies and procedures that will be utilized in the implementation of all regulatory standards. Assist with ensuring that standard of patient care is maintained; these standards are based in "best practice approaches". Adhere to standards of organizational values, vision, mission, and service to the recovery community. All core duties and responsibilities are subject to periodic revision. This person directly reports to the Clinical Director.

  • Current and Valid CASAC- P, CASAC, CASAC- T, or Advance CASAC
  • Must demonstrate competence in the specific areas relevant to this role
  • Must have computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and managing weekly individual and group counseling sessions (as assigned).
  • Performs assessment and intake.
  • Assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture that will meet the treatment and service needs of patients.
  • Under the supervision of a master level Qualified Health Provider (QHP), assist with weekly utilization reviews based on established clinical and administrative standards.
  • Under the supervision of a master level QHP, assist with monthly skills-based workshops relative to chemical dependency.
  • Assist with the review, process, and distribute incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed.
  • Provide input for employee reviews as requested.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews.
  • Assist with the assessment and intake process.
  • Conduct waived testing for urine.
  • Assist with the clinical discharge process.
  • Record individual patient data in the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) Substance abuse Tracking and Reporting System (STARS) as required weekly/monthly, if applicable.
  • Monitors patient toxicology.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Treatment planning and psychosocial completion.
  • Meet with patients for individual sessions as required by OASAS and Joint Commission regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure patient receives all required referrals and discharge information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patients at all times as per regulations.
  • Utilization reviews as needed by QHP.
  • All clinical documentation must be reviewed by master level counselor and QHP.
